- Lead and manage noise and vibration assessment projects from initiation to completion, ensuring adherence to project timelines, budgets, and quality standards.
- Take leadership on the technical aspects of projects and delegate activities to younger engineers within the team.
- Support business manager on the development and execution of new services within LR which often requires multidisciplinary interaction.
- Conduct comprehensive noise and vibration surveys, measurements, and assessments using state-of-the-art equipment and techniques.
- Analyse data and prepare detailed technical reports, including noise and vibration impact assessments, predictions, and mitigation recommendations.
- Provide expert advice and guidance to clients, project teams, and stakeholders on noise and vibration control measures, regulatory compliance, and best practices.
- Stay updated with the latest industry standards, regulations, and technological advancements related to noise and vibration control from ships and marine traffic.
- Mentor and provide technical guidance to junior staff, fostering their professional development.
- Participate in business development activities, including proposal writing, client meetings, and presentations.
- Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Acoustical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Environmental Science, or a related field.
- Extensive experience in noise and vibration assessment, monitoring, and mitigation in the marine sector.
- Strong knowledge of acoustics, vibration analysis, and related scientific principles.
- Proficiency in using industry-standard noise and vibration measurement equipment and software.
- Familiarity with relevant regulations, standards, and guidelines related to noise and vibration control.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and data interpretation skills.
- Effective communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex technical information to diverse audiences.
- Demonstrated project management experience, including the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Strong leadership and team collaboration skills.
