Then come join us.No relocation assistance is offered for this position.Core ResponsibilitiesBuild on the solid actions in the LEGO Group’s Operations to develop a thoughtful and meaningful company-wide strategy around pollution and waste mitigation while engaging with Senior leadership, implementation partners, and external expertsDevelop targets and metrics to focus on pollution prevention, waste reduction, and resource efficienciesDevelop standards and policies and drive cross-functional roadmaps and initiatives with manufacturing, offices, and supply chain teams to reduce environmental impact across operations that align with regulations and reduce risks and impactsContribute to ESG and sustainability reporting, including disclosures for CDP, CSRD, or regulatory filingsProvide leadership and technical expertise to site-level teams and build internal capacity for environmental performance improvementPlay your part in our team succeedingThe Nature Impacts team sits within the core LEGO Group Sustainability department and defines the global strategies for Water, Waste, Pollution, and Biodiversity across our full value chain, as well as beneficial actions to carbon and nature that sit outside the value chain.The Pollution and Waste Mitigation Global Lead will work with Senior Leadership to develop the strategy that will define the LEGO Group’s overall relationship to the natural world. They will also shape the guidance, metrics, and standards which will allow us to assess progress towards these goals.Do you have what it takes?Bachelor’s or Master’s degree or equivalent experience in Environmental Engineering, Environmental Science, Sustainability, Chemical Engineering, or a related fieldExtensive experience in global corporate strategy, sustainability, or environmental management with a focus on biodiversity or ecologyProficient in standards, governmental regulations, sustainability guidelines, and developing targets (e.g., EPA, ISO 14001, RCRA, Clean Air/Water Acts) and pollution/waste reduction practicesExcellent communication skills around the explanation of technical topics to a myriad of partnersDevelopment of sustainability metrics and proven track record of adaptation and adherence in global corporate settingExternal network of experts in related fields who can be consulted on standard and best practicesProven ability to lead cross-functional projects and drive environmental performance improvements across multiple sites or business units.#LI-ML2Applications are reviewed on an ongoing basis.
