The role of Director of Sustainability Integration and Systems is pivotal in shaping the future of procurement at LEGO. With a mission to weave sustainability into every facet of supplier performance management, this position is not just about compliance—it's about leading the charge toward a more sustainable supply chain!Core ResponsibilitiesProcurement integration
  • Directs a strategy to integrate sustainability (environmental, social, governance) factors into overall procurement and supplier performance management process ensuring LEGO licence to operate
  • Develops tools and processes to incorporate sustainability into supplier lifecycle from supplier selection to onboarding, performance management and responsible exit
  • Acts as a coordination point to drive an integrated strategy for supplier sustainability expectations / policies and develops “One Voice” approach to internal (LEGO teams) and external (supplier) partners
  • Directs the design of Sustainable Sourcing management systems to house supplier sustainability expectations, policies and procedures/Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
  • Drives strategy to integrate sustainability into procurement decision making (incl. support the development of an integrated supplier expectations, sustainability scorecard etc.)
  • Ensures supplier sustainability performance is managed, captured and communicated across the procurement teams and to the leadership teams through established Key Performance Indicators, governance process and regular reporting
  • Leads and develops team of direct reports to advance and operate the Sustainable Sourcing management systems and associated risk assessment, data infrastructure and insights in order to minimizing supply chain, regulatory and brand risk
Sustainable Sourcing Data strategy
  • Manages the Sustainable Sourcing data strategy to meet regulatory compliance and company sustainability strategy and vision
  • Identifies opportunities to streamline supply chain ESG compliance processes through digital tools, dashboards, and automation
  • Works closely with the LEGO digital team to support the development of a system that serves as the central source of truth for supply chain sustainability data
  • Works cross-functionally to prepare internal leadership (incl. KPI development, tracking and reporting) and external, public sustainability reporting with accurate and repeatable data
  • Directs the coordination of integrated, repeatable sustainability data insights, analytics and visualization across supplier base to derive actionable insights
  • Ensures Sustainable Sourcing processes and data systems meet regulatory requirements and are aligned to industry best-practice
Play your part in our team succeedingThe Sustainable Sourcing team is a global function within the centre-led, functionally driven Global Procurement organisation at the LEGO Group. Fully integrated into the company’s systems and processes, the team connects overall business strategy and requirements with global product categories and regional procurement teams to deliver optimal sourcing outcomes. Sustainable Sourcing function plays a critical role in advancing the LEGO Group’s Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) agenda by driving the sustainability performance of the company’s supplier base. The team and their work are embedded in our purpose, strategy, and ways of working, driving long-term value creation and supporting the company’s sustainability goals. This newly established team is structured across the three pillars of ESG: Environmental, Social, and Governance and partners closely with other functions within the LEGO Group, including Supply Chain Operations, Procurement teams, Corporate Sustainability, Responsible Operations, Legal, Government Affairs and others.Do you have what it takes
  • Education within BSc/BA, MSc/MBA on Sustainability, Business or other related field preferred
  • Over a decade of proven experience working in supply chain, procurement/sourcing function in a multinational organization (potentially as a category leader)
  • Knowledge of and demonstrated experience in building, directing, and managing large supply chain / procurement projects
  • Experience working on transformation projects
  • Proven leadership in cross-functional environments and centralized service delivery models. Proven experience in building, coaching, and leading high-performing teams in a matrixed or global environments
  • Proven track record of addressing tactical business problems with strategic solutions
  • Ability to enable change across the organization, and to enroll and influence others; ability to communicate technical and project management concepts in business-oriented terms to different audiences including executive/senior management
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities, problem solve under pressure and tight timelines, escalate issues as needed, and support leadership with strategic decision-making
