In the New Product Master Blades we are a Prototype team of 10 employees, dedicated in our roles to be the link between, Design, Process, Shopfloor and to deliver high quality data to validate new products within Blades.
New design of blades into test rigs and test turbines produced according to specification on the shopfloor.
Our focus is to ensure high quality blades and continue improvement of the design within material and process optimization.
We focus on improvement of waste and making safe work by driving the process risk assessment during the different stages of the build phases: Mock, Design prototype and Process prototype.
In our team we support each other and keep a good atmosphere with place to learn and grow in the process. This means we are open minded and supportive in our approach. All answers is taking care of in the best manner.
Prototype technician has the responsibility to lead the build on the shop floor based on the test paper. To ensure that the build goes according to right documentation and Quality. Prototype technician is in dialogue with Process/design engineer during the build to secure that challenges is solved with a minimum of delay in the build process. Prototype technician supervise operator on the shop floor, quality people and others on behalf of the engineering.Responsibilities
Prototype technician have following responsibility in close cooperation with Process/design engineers and colleagues within Manufacturing readiness Blades:
- Shopfloor accountable for design validation of mockup/ design build based on test paper from design and process engineers
- Accountable for cut-up measurement
- Build support for Mock, Design and Process prototype builds
- Shopfloor accountable for process BOM & Waste validation for Design and Process prototype Builds
- Shopfloor accountable for Process risk assessment, PRA for Mock, Design & Process Prototype Builds
- Validation according to CATIA approach
- Shopfloor accountable for Cut up and data collection on Mock
- Minimum 5 years' experience from a similar or related industry including documented process and product knowledge
- Good understanding in the process on building blades
- Production engineering knowledge, agile manufacturing, Lean production, Design for manufacturing
- Can read and understand documentation materials as PWI, drawings, test paper, BOM etc.
- Good communication skills both with operator but also across the project organization
- Very good English both verbal and written
- Ability to specify, lead and delegate task
- Driven by result and good to finding solution to secure progress
- Work independently and possess ability to work under limit level of supervision in some periods
- Work well under pressure and make the right decisions based on facts
- Have the ability to work with multiple targets and stakeholders
- Has a structured approach when you work with project and concepts
- Motivated and independent but also enjoy being part of an agile and motivated team
- Disciplined, well-organized and aiming for best practices and improvements
This position requires approximately 100 - 160 days of travel yearly.
