Vestas Global Procurement is responsible for all strategic procurement activities within Vestas, including negotiations, contract management, cost out initiatives, leading cross functional teams, strategy development, and supplier relationship management.
The position as Commodity Lead for LV Cables in Electrical will give you a great opportunity to develop your procurement profile and join a team of experienced strategic purchasers, commodity leads and specialists. The position is in Aarhus, Denmark, where you are surrounded by enthusiastic and professional colleagues. You will also work closely with colleagues in Porto, Tianjin, and Chennai.Responsibilities
- Responsible for the global commodity strategy and negotiation to ensure the most optimal procurement setup for low voltage cables
- Manage the procurement related activities in the cross functional sub-module team and secure alignment with relevant stakeholders in relation to e.g., new product introduction, costing, and supplier risk and performance management
- Supplier selection, qualification, negotiation and contracting and supplier relationship management, including supplier account plans, and performance management
- Supplier consolidation to ensure supply chain optimization based on total landed cost, strategy and roadmap development with your commodity member and act as procurement lead on cross functional projects and cost out initiatives
- Procurement deliverables in new product introduction and contract management of NDAs, Purchase Agreements, Price Agreements, etc.
- Full understanding of Commodity and Module KPI governance and active engagement in performance improvement to achieve targets
- Master's degree within a relevant area or min. 5 years of working experience within similar role
- Efficient communication skills and extensive experience with stakeholder management
- You are good with Microsoft Office (Word/PowerPoint/Excel) (required) and SAP and SAP ARIBA is also welcomed
- As our corporate language is English, fluency in English is required, both verbally and in writing
- You are highly motivated to take initiative, motivate progress and have a natural curiosity
- Team oriented and values formal and informal engagement with your colleagues
- An open approach to encourage stakeholder inputs and a structured and fact-based approach to secure ideas are prioritized and implemented
- Focused and persistent to secure the correct effective implementation of the initiatives you lead
- Holistic and positive mindset: you can see the big picture from Vestas's product offerings towards customers and the ability to connect these to procurement initiatives and how they can positively impact Vestas' sales and cost out programs
- Efficient analytical skills with a natural motivation for detailed analysis
