This poses new and exciting challenges for the Marine Insurance team to deliver high-quality insurance solutions and claims handling that match the complexity of our organisation and global customers.“We take risk management very seriously - that's why we act fast, and we always find a qualified insurance solution to support and protect our customers and business,” says Stine.Help link insurance with our global businessIn your new position, you will join a strong international team of 8 experienced insurance and legal logistic professionals within underwriting and claims handling at our Headquarter in Hedehusene, Denmark, 2 legal logistic specialists based abroad and a supporting team of 8 claims handlers in Warsaw. Besides your daily responsibilities related to freight forwarders liability claims handling and contractual liability underwriting, one of your key goals will be to initiate and execute new developments and improvements within logistics risk management together with Stine, your new manager, and the team. Projects that aim to streamline and optimise how we manage our global claims handling and monthly claims reporting structure, systems and insurance solutions to match our new organisational reality in a constantly changing nature of business.Your responsibilities and tasks will be to:
- Examine and evaluate international complex transport liability claims and coordinate between our suppliers, customers, external legal advisors and reinsurance company
- Structure and identify risk exposures in global complex customer contracts with regards to the Freight Forwarders Liability Insurance and support our business in contract negotiations with customers
- Support on the monthly claims reporting procedure to the management in DSV Insurance
- Take part in preparations of the annual renewal of the Global Marine Insurance Program internally towards the DSV divisions and externally towards our global reinsurance partner
- Build and maintain a solid relationship and corporation with our global reinsurer and other insurance partners
- Provide professional guidance to our internal stakeholders at a global scale within the DSV Group on insurance matters
- Support the administration of our global Air and Sea charterers liability insurance programs
- Assist and supervise our claims teams in the claims handling centres in Poland, Manila, and Mexico
- Initiate and manage new risk management projects - e.g., to implement contract management systems or processes, internal trainings towards our organization and newsletters within insurance
- Ensure continuous risk management across our global activities and identify exposures
- Have a personal drive and a commercial understanding and are very ambitious and ready to walk the extra mile to achieve your goals
- Have a legal background in transportation and commercial law
- Experience within insurance e.g. claims handler, underwriter or broker
- Are highly analytical and process-oriented and can apply a commercial perspective to make sound decisions from a business point of view
- Have strong communication skills and the ability to empower yourself in a simple and clear way whether it be verbally or in written
