In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of electrical design, development, and project execution. Your ability to motivate teams, and having a business mindset to create the right balance between cost, quality, and timeline,
will be critical in driving successful product development and delivery.Your responsibilities will cover:
  • Lead and manage a team of approx. 20 electrical/microwave/Systems engineers, providing direction, support, and mentorship throughout all stages of product development.
  • Securing the right competencies to support our business and future needs.
  • Be delivery oriented and have the responsibility for estimates, schedules, and budgets to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery of high-quality products.
  • Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including product management, manufacturing, and quality assurance, to define project requirements, milestones, and deliverables.
  • Identify and mitigate project risks and issues, proactively resolving challenges to keep projects on track and within scope.
  • Drive continuous improvement in Electrical processes and workflows to enhance efficiency, productivity, and quality.
  • Facilitate creation and continuous updates of technology roadmaps together with the technical specialists. Ensure technical roadmaps are linked to product roadmaps and market needs.

  • Budgeting and Resource Allocation: Developing and managing the departmental budget, allocating resources effectively, and optimizing resource utilization to achieve departmental goals. Ensure tasks are completed on time, within budget, and according to specifications.
  • Strategic Planning: The ability to think strategically and develop long-term plans aligned with organizational goals is essential for the Head of Electrical Engineering. This includes working closely together with product management and senior engineers to drive innovation and maintain a competitive edge.
  • Technology Assessment: Scouting emerging technologies and trends within electrical engineering, evaluating their potential impact on the organization, and making recommendations for adoption or integration.
