- Designing, implementing, and running new funding programmes in open competition and establishing new strategic initiatives.
- Following-up and evaluating existing funding programmes in the department.
- Staying up to date within the biomedical research fields, which includes analysing received applications within the biomedical field, reading relevant scientific papers, and participating in scientific conferences.
- Participating in the development of larger funding initiatives within the Biomedical department as well as in cross-organisational project teams.
- Employing scientific as well as project management knowledge and tools in the design and development of funding programmes.
- Formulating the content of reports, recommendations, and other written documents clearly and professionally.
- Research experience as postdoc, assistant or associate professor, or similar career level.
- A PhD degree within fundamental and/or translational molecular biology or biomedical research
- Experience with managing own research and projects.
- Confidence in presenting grants, reports, and research orally to a broad range of audiences.
- Experience from international research.
- Excellent written and verbal English skills.
- Some experience working with project management tools (an advantage, not an absolute requirement).
- Experience working with pharmacology and/or data science is an advantage.
