Novo Nordisk is looking for a Mechanical Automation Engineer to lead the charge in integrating cutting-edge solutions at our global production sites.Apply now for a Life Changing Career!The PositionAs a Mechanical Automation Engineer you will be responsible for designing, developing, and integrating new robots and equipment to handle injection molded plastic components for medical device manufacturing.The main tasks will be to:Translate product requirements into machine requirements, conceptualizing with 3D designs towards sub-suppliers and other stakeholders to design and develop equipment.Document design solutions and ensure traceability to requirements.Create, review, and approve User Requirement Specifications (URS), Engineering and design specifications.Participate in testing and validation such as factory acceptance testing (FAT, SAT) together with the equipment manufacturer before the equipment is transferred from the supplier to be validated at one of our molding sites.Review supplier documentation, protocols, reports and purchase automation equipment and support in training and installation.Closely collaborate with cross-functional teams, including suppliers, developers, project managers, site teams and other stakeholders.For this position is expected to travel 20-50 days per year, depending on the project phase.QualificationsTo succeed in this role, you have:A bachelor or master's degree in mechanical engineering, automation, robotics, mechanics, mechatronics, or similar.Experience working with robot end-of-arm tools, interfaces, and other injection molding equipment.Experience with planning, validating, and executing development projects of high-volume equipment.Experienced within GMP and medical validation.Good communication skills in English. Danish is a plus.You have solid experience developing equipment or robots and 3D mechanical design skills for creating various features in an automation work-cell.On a personal level, your outgoing personality and communication style make it easy for you to establish trustful relationships across a diverse organization. You have great skills engaging and managing stakeholders, are able to take initiative and follow through with a quality mindset. You enjoy sharing knowledge and providing support to each other.About the DepartmentYou will be joining a department with dedicated colleagues within plastic processing, tooling, and equipment in the Device Manufacturing Development area in Hillerød. We develop the equipment and processes that transform new Medical Device designs into actual products for our patients, bridging the gap between the development departments and the Injection Molding production sites.In this group you will be working closely together with our three other equipment engineers specialized in robot handling of injection molded parts and automated part decoration and vision inspection.
