Basis ChapterThe Basis chapter is part of "Core ERP Delivery" team in Digital Technology Solutions. We are a team of 4 highly skilled employees in Denmark, where we together with our outsourcing partner are, managing 100+ SAP Systems, both on-premise, Azure Cloud, and several BTP services.ResponsibilitiesAs a SAP Basis specialist you will be one of the leads, managing technical tasks within our SAP Platform and you will be an important contributor in our coming SAP S/4 conversion and SAP Rise journey.
- In collaboration with projects or based on technical requirements, you will design and decide architecture and roadmap for our SAP Platform
- Definition and approval of operational and monitoring procedures for the SAP Basis domain. Operations are managed by our external partners, and we have follow-up meetings together with other governance teams
- Definition of SAP policies and guidelines, as well as processes for SAP changes and service windows (releases) in collaboration with release coordination teams
- Collaborate with external partners on overall performance tuning of the SAP systems, this can be driven by either Early Watch reports, TP reports or own initiatives
- Plan, manage and support recurring tasks, like system refreshes and software maintenance
- Participate and comment on RCAs managed by problem management team
- Support and guide external partners with technical configuration of SAP within the SAP Basis domain, and approval of SAP basis change request's
- A Bachelors or Masters in Computer Engineering or Computer Science or similar with at least 8-10 years of SAP Basis experience
- Experience with performing upgrade and patching
- Relevant SAP courses within system administration
- SAP certifications are a plus
- SAP S/4HANA, SAP HANA and Cloud solutions knowledge and experience are good to have
- Understand how to operate SAP systems in Azure Cloud
- Fluent in English language (speaking and writing)
- Able to handle many tasks at the same time (multi-tasking)
- Persistent, patient and robust, with the ability to prioritize
- Structured, focused on quality and result oriented
- Can work on both architect and hands-on tasks
- Highly skilled and experience in upgrade and patching
- Basic understanding and knowledge of business processes in the SAP Business Suite
- Able to cooperate with various teams, like functional teams, infrastructure, security, external partners and vendors
