Then you might be our new Team Leader in Novonesis wastewater treatment plant.We are starting up a very large expansion project that will redefine not only our wastewater treatment processes but also the way we work. We are looking for a team leader for the team of highly qualified colleagues. Join us, be part of the development and operation of one of the largest wastewater treatment facilities in Scandinavia.The team leader is part of the management team and reports to the director of the function.Welcome to our depaartment - Environmental OperationEnvironmental Operation handles wastewater and production biomass from both Novonesis and Novo Nordisk. We are part of Novonesis production organization covering the regional flow of all materials from raw material inventories through fermentation, recovery and granulation.We are 55 colleagues in the department including 2 team leaders for 26 operators.Environmental Operation operates a biological wastewater treatment plant of 2,4 mill PE. It includes anaerobic pretreatment and gas utilization, biological carbon and nitrogen removal and final polish before discharge to Kalundborg Municipality. The plant is currently being expanded by 50% to 3,6 mill PE to handle additional wastewater from Novo Nordisk. The expansion involves several new technologies including membrane bioreactors, new gas upgrade technology and tertiary treatment before discharge.Novonesis 2030 company strategy includes ambitious sustainability goals. Environmental Operation will play an important role in meeting the goals. We need to re-think the way we treat wastewater and production biomass to cut CO2 emission.In this role you’ll make an impact by:Having responsibility for a team of skilled and passionate operatorsBeing curious, proactive, and supporting the teamLeading the team through a transformational period including new technology and new ways of workingBeing part of the department management teamSetting direction for the team and developing the organization towards future goalsEnsuring the team’s satisfaction and motivation to drive an ambitious high-performance cultureTo Succeed you must:The ideal candidate possesses relevant experience as a team leader for shift workers, along with work experience in LEAN methodologies and continuous improvements. You should demonstrate good technical insight, a strong ability to maintain an overview, and a sound understanding of business operations. Additionally, expertise in change management and transformational leadership is essential.On a personal level, the candidate should be open-minded and result-oriented, complemented by excellent interpersonal skills. You must have strong analytical abilities and a high degree of personal drive. Outstanding communication skills are vital, as well as the ability to work independently and influence others through both formal and informal leadership.Location:
