Then the Asset Business Transformation team at Vattenfall IT is looking for you!As a Business specialised Senior IT project manager for Wind, you will gain knowledge of their operations and that will be your unique superpower. You will work close to the core business to enable knowledge transfer and ensure the close connection to business processes and know-how. You work with some of our most important IT projects that enable business processes with the help of IT systems and part of your focus will be infrastructure and IT security components. But above all, you are a fantastic project manager who takes your project team towards the goal together.You will be part of Vattenfall's international IT organisation and work in the IT Asset Business Transformation team. Our locations include Amsterdam, Kolding, Stockholm, and we will soon expand to Luleå. We work closely with the business areas that manufacture and distribute electricity, where our team supports their most complex and strategic IT projects.You will independently lead projects according to VPGP (Vattenfall's project model). One of your strong qualities will be that you have knowledge of how Wind runs its projects according to Vattenfall's project model and be able to combine this with how Vattenfall IT runs its projects. You will also gain an exciting insight into the business processes of the respective business units and be able to apply this in the project.Project members possess deep technical knowledge, while you apply your IT experience and comprehension of IT systems and techniques to propel the project forward. You must involve a geographically dispersed project group since our operations span the Netherlands, Germany, Poland, Denmark, and Sweden.Main tasks as IT project manager:
  • Drive the project from concept development to completion: plan, execute, monitor project progress, follow up and deliver the project according to or exceeding the customer's expectations
  • Understand the project's value and deliverables: the customer's needs and translate them into IT requirements.
  • Manage the project budget and allocate resources
  • Communicate and co-ordinate with various stakeholders: customer, solution architects, other IT departments, external suppliers, etc.
  • Develop, implement, distribute and manage project plans
  • Lead and support international project team members by being active and engaging

  • Has worked as a Senior IT project manager for at least 5 years
  • Has knowledge in IT
  • Has a genuine interest in the energy industry
  • Has experience in change management
  • Have commitment and a positive attitude to deal with complex tasks
  • An academic degree in IT, technology, or a relevant field
  • Fluent in Danish and English in both speech and writing
  • An advantage if you have experience from a large organisation with a complex working environment
