Siting Functional Excellence is a team which links innovation into the siting assessment (Wind Resource and Site suitability assessment) process. You will be a part of a highly skilled team which continuously ensures Vestas is best in class on siting assessment, working across departments to ensure high quality is implemented in the tools used in the worldwide Siting community in Vestas. The siting assessment in Vestas will cover both onshore and offshore sites from early site development/identification to after-sales opportunities.ResponsibilitiesProvide expert solutions/knowledge for Siting engineers.Guide cross-functional teams in the Siting community to improve sub-areas of the siting assessment processCollaboration across stakeholders in vestas to ensure innovation for the siting communityCollaborate with external stakeholders to be on top of research and development done within the siting domainUnderstanding the adversity and possibilities in the entire siting domainCreate a roadmap for elevating the Vestas Siting community to the next level by incorporating global standards and methodologies into their knowledge baseDevelopment of Siting Roadmap, Tools & Products to stay ahead in the industry on Siting Technology & Innovation and to achieve operational growthFacilitate the rollout of tools and processes in the siting and technical bid management domainQualificationsMaster's / Bachelor's in Renewable / Energy Conversion system / Mechanical / Electrical / similar specializationAt least 12 - 15 years of experience within site suitability assessment (Wind&Site)Skilled user of WASP / WindPRO / Windfarmer / OpenWindKnowledge of the Hybrid solutions, combinations of Wind, Solar, batteries, power2XPossess effective collaboration skillsFluent and clear in oral/written in EnglishKnowledge of Offshore Siting is idealCompetenciesCritical thinking mindsetWork in a structured and systematic wayAbility to contribute and handle multiple projects at the same timeOutgoing and having good communication and change management skillsAble to navigate large organizationsWhat We OfferWe offer an exciting and international job with great opportunities for professional and personal development in an inspiring environment at the world's global wind OEM.
